🔥 Too self-conscious?
Discover how to have pleasure in the act of intimacy by challenging stereotypes, embracing desire and practicing self agency.
🔥 How To Have Pleasure In The Act Of Sex
Key elements for intimate delight can be found in Shakespeare´s “Venus and Adonis,” where Venus actively pursuits Adonis as the object of her desire contrary to societal gender conditioning at his and our times, providing timeless elements to have pleasure in the act of sex such as challenging stereotypes, embracing desire and practicing self agency.
🔥 Challenge Stereotypes
Shakespeare's portrayal of Venus as 'an actively desirous woman' doesn't just defy the passive roles typically assigned to women in literature; it opens a dialogue about societal norms and expectations of women to be subdued, inviting us to reconsider our own preconceived notions about gender roles and embracing female agency.
🔥 Embrace Desire
By casting Venus as a figure of active desire, Shakespeare enriches her character and the narrative, breaking away from the traditional portrayal of women as passive recipients of male action, and inspiring us to explorations of themes like love and desire with autonomy.
🔥 Personal Agency
Shakespeare's Venus exemplifies strong character agency by actively pursuing her desires rather than waiting passively for events to unfold. This empowers her character, allowing her actions and choices to significantly influence the course of the story. This not only adds complexity to his characters but also encourages audiences to rethink societal norms in a progressive view.
